Increase brand awareness for Petsense in-store, online and salon offerings.
Position Petsense as the go-to knowledge authority in pet retail.
Petsense is a regional pet retailer looking to establish a strong brand position as a pet knowledge authority in the communities their stores are located. They also sought to increase awareness of their various offerings online and in-store, including grooming services.
We developed and presented three ways in that capitalized on truths about the brand and their consumers.

Concept 1
For Pets We Love
Pets aren’t “pets”. They’re family! Petsense understands the devotion pet owners have for them because they feel it, too! With existing equity in the tagline “For Pets We Love”, it made sense to to lean into their tender side while showcasing all the offerings Petsense has for pets of all kinds.
Concept 2
We Speak Pet People
Boops. Sploots. Toe beans. There may be a made up a word or two, but Petsense speaks the pet parent lingo, too. From cattos to birds, we have all the things to help you care for your big and smol pet frens.
This concept borrows from the playfulness of Internet-speak among pet parents to relate to consumers and create a voice for the brand. Adorable animal photos that show off their personality paired with pet parent lingo sets the tone for a digital-first brand campaign.

Your Neighborhood Pet Pros
Pet owners have a lot of questions about how to give their furry friends the best life possible, but there can be a ton of confusing chatter online. Petsense stores are in neighborhoods across America ready to be the go-to source for all things pet.
Have a food sensitive pet? Learn about our fresh, raw, and dry food varieties. Birthdays? Oh, we love those! We’ll be there to help you celebrate. Why? Because we’re neighbors!
